ANIMAL BEHAVIOR BIOLOGIST, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY, DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY
The Department of Biology at Ball State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position, available August 20, 2017.

Major responsibilities: Faculty member will be able to teach Introductory Biology, Animal Behavior, and Evolution and will contribute to the Department s undergraduate Zoology concentration. Contribute actively to the intellectual and professional life of the Biology Department, the College of Sciences and Humanities, Ball State University and the surrounding community. The strongest candidates will have a demonstrated track record of teaching at the undergraduate level and evidence of outstanding scholarship in the form of peer-reviewed publications and external funding.
Minimum qualifications: Earned doctorate in biological science or related field with a focus that includes zoology, evolution, or animal behavior, from an accredited college or university; effective written and oral communication skills; commitment to excellence in teaching.
Preferred qualifications: Evidence of scholarly activity, such as postdoctoral experience, publications and grantsmanship; an established research agenda which complements existing departmental concentrations; animal behavior research experience; demonstrated teaching ability using student-centered learning techniques; collaborative potential with existing faculty at Ball State University.
