clients. Sabre is currently recruiting for an Antennae
Design Modeling Engineer to work in Aberdeen, MD.
Candidate will be an experienced Electrical or Computer
Engineer interested in an exciting position pushing
beyond the state of the art in (primarily VHF and UHF)
antenna technology, and RF propagation. Candidate will
work in challenging, hands on environment supporting the
Department of Defense and other specialized customers in
the Aberdeen MD areas. Successful candidate will assist
and engage in the design, development, modeling and
simulation of, and evaluation of new, emerging antenna
technology for a variety of Army ground and air vehicle
platforms with application to existing and next
generation military, tactical radios and other devices.
The successful candidate should possess a solid
foundation in Fundamental Antenna design (dipole, mono
pole, diplexers, triplexers, RF filters, impedance
matching, balun design, artificial impedance surfaces,
ground planes, etc.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or
Computer Engineering
* 7+ years of related experience
* Experience with and/or knowledge of several of the
following areas is required:
* Whip designs, Single band, Multiband, single
port, multiport
* Helix, Spiral, etc designs
* Electrically Small Antennas (ESA)
* Microstrip and Conformal and Structurally
Integrated Antennas
* Directional Antenna designs
* Multifunction, Distributed Apertures
* Antenna testing and measurement in an anechoic
chamber environment
* Antenna testing in outdoor ranges
* RF Propagation Characteristics
* Knowledge of and experience with one or more of the
following electromagnetic computational software
tools is also required:
* FEKO Computational Electromagnetic (CEM)
software
* High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS), xGTD
and XFdtd EM Software
* Knowledge of and experience with C, C++, MatLab
java, Javascript, Visual BASIC, VB.net, etc.
Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to
obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.
