Stable and growing Healthcare company in Irvine is in need of an Appeals Clerk to join the team. Someone incredibly detail-oriented and a self-starter who likes staying busy would be the best fit. Anyone with knowledge regarding the appeals process and who has experience with reviewing EOB?s and remittance advices would be right at home in our office!
As an Appeals Clerk, you are responsible for processing claims after they have been denied. The candidate will be submitting forms, writing appeals, etc. Must have a strong administrative background however a billing or AR background is also extremely helpful.
? Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
? Proficient in Excel, and Data Entry.
? Must possess strong verbal communication skills.
? Ability to multi-task (listening while documenting system with any pertinent information).
? Knowledge of insurance compliance and authorization requirements.
? Ability to have a professional and friendly demeanor when communicating with documentation sources.
? Good keyboard skills and computer proficiency (minimum of 45 words per minute).
? Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
? Good organization skills.
? High school diploma or GED is required.
