Job role & skill set: Application Developer - Java

Required skills:
Strong Object Oriented design Skills, 3-4 years development experience using Websphere, Spring, EJBs, Experience using JSF, Ability to write complete well-tuned SQLs, Experience troubleshooting a Websphere based app in production. Minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience or formal training with one or more programming languages or software packages (Java, J2EE, and XML).
Strong technical experience working with WebSphere, Oracle on an AIX platform. Advanced understanding of full life cycle development.
Strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking, and time management skills with consistent attention to detail.
Advanced understanding of analytical techniques such as logical data modeling and process modeling.
Ability to learn/apply new programming concepts, tools, and methodology.

Required:

Strong technical experience working with WebSphere, Oracle on an AIX platform.

Advanced understanding of analytical techniques such as logical data modeling and process modeling. Knowledge and skills related to additional technical tools are a plus (Visio, data modeling tools, window prototyping tools).

Ability to effectively learn and use new programming concepts, tools, and methodology to support the needs of the business.
Strong understanding of emerging technologies and systems development best practices.
Strong leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and consensus building skills.
Ability to effectively share technical information and train and mentor less experienced or knowledgeable team members.
High level of teamwork skills (communication, ability to share ideas and solutions for work challenges)

Nice to have skills: Knowledge and skills related to additional technical tools are a plus (Visio, data modeling tools, window prototyping tools).
