ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Application Support Analyst is the first point of contact on issues with IT systems at this firm and will interface to all business areas of the company. He or she will perform the first level of analysis and investigation, document and track issues, and work with Project Managers or developers to coordinate resolution in a timely manner. The candidate will need to have a combination of (1) client-focused attitude and excellent communication, (2) strong analytical and technical skills, and (3) knowledge of mortgage business. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who wants to learn the business and improve his or her technical skills.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide application support to all business users
* Develop expertise and knowledge of systems utilized at the firm
* Document, track, and conduct reporting on users' application issues
* Work with developers, vendor support, IT infrastructure, and other teams to resolve users' application issues
* Build relationships with business users and gain in-depth understanding and knowledge of their business processes, including application use cases
* Test and validate application changes prior to production release
* Conduct technical documentation of systems

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field or the equivalent work experience.
* Minimum 2years of application support experience in the financial industry
* Knowledge of databases and ability to write SQL are highly beneficial
* Experience with SSRS or other reporting tools
* Knowledge of fixed income products, specifically, securitized products is preferred
* Experience or familiarity with Polypaths, Yieldbook, POINT, Intex, and Bloomberg (AIM, Data License, BLP functions) is helpful
* Advanced Excel skills, including VLookup, Macros, and the ability to troubleshoot VBA code are helpful
