SUMMARY
Uses acquired Electrical engineering and transformer design skills to aid in the estimation and proposal of development, engineering prototype assemblies, production, and support of customer needs. Work closely with the design engineers and project engineers to aid in or lead the design and support the production and service of transformers; this also includes preparation of test and trouble reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Perform estimates of labor and material required to complete proposals for customer needs.
2. Conceives and recommends technical solutions to customer problems utilizing PSG technology and products.
3. Acts as technical liaison between customers and Engineering.
4. Provides technical briefing to Marketing and Bid/No Bid Committee relative to customer requirements and inquiries.
5. Interfaces with designated Engineering associates to develop technical proposals to meet customers.
6. Interface with engineering personnel assigned to the project.
7. Ensure engineering and quality requirements are met.
8. Perform estimates of labor and material required to complete the proposed task.
9. Work to drawings, parts lists, Engineering Orders, wiring lists, diagrams, schematics and repair procedures.
10. Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
11. Train and educate both existing and competitive customers to gain incremental business.
12. Maintain proficient level of product knowledge in all product lines.
13. Provide 24-hour applications coverage (including holidays, weekends, evenings).

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Significant experience in related marketplace.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
3. Must be able to travel occasionally.
4. May be required to obtain a secret security clearance.
5. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
6. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BSEE or equivalent with five (5) years experience in power electronics and/or magnetics.
