Applications Supervisor

SUMMARY:
Under general direction, organizes, oversees, and administers the programs and activities of major non-clinical applications. Supports the development, installation, and maintenance of enterprise wide non-clinical programs and assists non-IT analysts in same functions. Assists in implementing department operating standards and procedures. Oversees a diverse team of IT and non-IT staff to support applications. Serves as a member of the strategic department management team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The specifications listed below are representative of the education and experience as well as knowledge, skill and ability required.

1. Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or closely related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Five or more years experience working with healthcare clinical information systems.
3. Strong functional knowledge of application systems in a healthcare environment.
4. Previous supervisory experience required.
5. PMP or other accredited Project Management certification is required.
6. Ability to interpret and evaluate client informational needs and to determine appropriate alternative solutions
7. Ability to plan, design, coordinate installation , test and modify complex systems and subsystems
8. Knowledge of a broad range of relevant computer systems, applications and equipment
9. Programming experience a plus.
