Forsythe Appraisals, part of the First American family of companies, is America s most established residential real estate appraisal firm. We are looking for qualified Appraiser Trainee (Associate Appraiser) candidates throughout the United States to join our development program. Associate Appraisers will develop skills and resources to become a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser.
Under the guidance of an experienced supervisory appraiser, all Associates will participate in side-by-side property inspections and produce appraisals on all types of residential properties, including but not limited to:
* Single family
* Multi-family units
* Alternative valuations
* Appraisal reviews
This will all take place within your local, familiar geographic area. We bring you into the industry the right way, introducing you to the various elements of an appraisal career in easy-to-understand bite-sized pieces . In the beginning, you will learn how to do simple research and develop the knowledge required for completing the various appraisal forms. That understanding is paramount to ultimately creating a credible appraisal report. As you progress through our Associate Appraiser Development Program, tasks will be performed on an increasingly independent basis.
To become a State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser a candidate must have a four-year college degree, and as a result, a degree or progress toward it is a condition of being hired as an Associate Appraiser. Completion or progress towards completion of necessary appraisal education courses is strongly preferred, but not required.
