Archaeological Field Technician
Dewberry seeks Archaeological Field Technician for an upcoming short term project in the Trenton, New Jersey area. Additional work assignments may lead from this project contingent upon the quality of the archaeological services demonstrated throughout this assignment. Interested applicants should be local to the central-New Jersey region.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to conduct all aspects of fieldwork in all weather conditions, and be able to work under supervision and as part of a team","Responsibilities: Qualifications:
Minimum project requirements include successful completion of an archaeological field school and a Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archaeology or related field.
Physical requirements include standing or kneeling for long periods of time, hiking in rugged terrain, and carrying up to 40 lbs. of gear.
Previous experience with Trimble units, all phases of excavation, feature identification and processing and artifact identification, are a plus.
Excellent communication skills required.
Must pass a background check.
