We are seeking an Architect with experience in planning and design of water infrastructure facilities including pump stations, buildings, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure. Successful candidates would join our growing practice providing multi-discipline engineering and environmental solutions to clients in the water environment and industrial sectors. This position can be located in any of the following offices: Federal Way WA; San Francisco CA, Sacramento CA, or Portland OR.

What you ll do: This position would be part of the Water and Infrastructure Business Unit. You would work closely with other architects, engineers and designers that are already part of the Kennedy/Jenks team. It is anticipated that you would work closely with a Discipline Leader for Architecture and with the Structural group. Responsibilities include participation in all phases of project delivery: facilities and site planning, architectural design, construction document preparation, coordination with in-house engineers on large, complex multi-disciplinary design projects and client interface including presentations and onsite construction observations.

The technical aspects of this role will involve working directly with our clients throughout the company s geographic footprint providing detailed designs, performing feasibility studies, providing cost estimates, conducting field studies, exploring opportunities with energy incentive programs that benefit our clients projects and budgets, provide field support for programming during construction and startup. This challenging work will be on projects from initial planning stages, through design and construction. On specific assignments and projects this role may include serving as a Project Manager.

What you ll need: Successful candidates will have graduated from an accredited architectural school, and be a registered Architect or working toward registration in California, Oregon or Washington. Candidates who have an NCARB certificate will be preferred as candidates may need to pursue licensure in other states for future projects. A minimum of 5-years experience with the design of industrial and institutional facilities associated with cities, state and federal agencies is required. This position requires excellent AutoCAD and communications skills, Revit skills are a plus, and basic competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
