With 30 writers in seven bureaus, we write agenda setting financial insight that is distributed through our branded website, w.breakingviews.com, across premium Reuters terminals, and in daily columns for publications including the International Herald Tribune, Caijing, Business Times (Singapore), Asia Economic Daily (Korea) and Business Standard (India).About the Asian Macro ColumnistThe Asian Macro Columnist will be Breakingviews' lead commentator on macroeconomics in this fast growing and varied region. The role is ideal for a candidate who has the desire and ability to shape opinion on financial markets and public policy. The columnist will report to the Asian Managing Editor and will also work closely with the London based Economics Editor and the Hong Kong based Asia Strategist.The role will involve: Writing strong, original views on all the main macro themes both responding rapidly to breaking news and setting the agenda proactively. Generating story ideas. Being an ambassador for Breakingviews among central bankers/finance ministries in Asia. Working with the rest of the Asian team to enhance our coverage of political economy in the region as well as working with the global economics editor to enhance our coverage of global economics.
