Assembler

Must have the ability to: follow oral and/or written instructions; read schematic drawings, blue prints and other manufacturing information. Mechanical aptitude required with custom wiring experience preferred.
Job requires standing for long periods of time and using various tools (Manual/electric/pneumatic tools, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials, metal fabrication equipment) for light mechanical assembly and point-to-point wiring of electrical components; modification of standard assemblies and sub-assemblies. Regularly required to stand; walk; stoop; squat; reach to or below shoulder level; lift; carry; push; pull; and use hands to handle and feel. Required to climb; and reach above shoulder level. Regularly required to lift/carry up to 35 pounds. Frequently required to push/pull up to 35 pounds. Occasionally required to push/pull greater than 35 pounds with assistance.
Job may require working large amounts of overtime (both daily and weekend).
Clean work area on daily basis – to include sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc. Observe good housekeeping and keep equipment, tools and work area clean and orderly.
Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes. Use established power checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled.
Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and report problem areas.
HS Diploma/GED/equivalent required..
Steel toed shoes are required.
