CEC is seeking a professional in the role of Assessment Counselor at Bo Robinson Assessment and Treatment Center, located in Trenton, New Jersey. Bo Robinson provides a full array of residential reentry services designed to reduce recidivism to offenders referred by the New Jersey Department of Corrections, New Jersey State Parole Board and Mercer County.

The Assessment Counselor is responsible for administering standard risk assessment and diagnostic testing instruments with the residents. The Assessment Counselor also Interviews residents, reviews DOC files and testing scores, prepares assessment reports for determining resident appropriateness for community release and corresponding treatment and services for successful release placement.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* Administers Spousal Abuse/Domestic Violence 'SARA' and 'EUREKA' (measures ability to recognize need to alter behavior) tools
* Administers 'LSI-R' Level of Service Inventory - revised) and 'NOVACO' (aggressiveness and provocation measurement) tools
* Administers 'PAI' (Personality Assessment Inventory) and 'PCL' (psychopathy test)
* Administers 'SASSI' (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory)
* Administers Wonderlic (Intelligence Quotient) and Self Directed Search
* Interviews residents to collect additional data not covered by above assessment tools
* Prepares written reports based on results of assessment and testing tools
* Gives oral presentation of case load at weekly assessment meetings

Masters Degree in metal health or criminal justice preferred, plus three years assessment experience.

NJ licensed or license-eligible mental health professional with experience in psychometrics in a correctional environment preferred.

Good computer skills and word processing and spreadsheet software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel plus MS Office.
