Asset Management Research Analyst, Analyst/Associate



This is a Asset Management Research Analyst, Analyst/Associate role within the AFS Fundamental Investment Research Team, covering Long/Short Equity, Event Driven and Distressed Credit managers. Overall responsibilities include preparing and conducting investment due diligence on new managers and monitoring current investments, in addition to working with customized and advisory clients on a regular and ad-hoc basis.







Primary Responsibilities:

* Serve as an investment due diligence analyst supporting the group s hedge fund offerings, including commingled and customized multi-manager portfolios and advisory services

* Hold primary responsibility for monitoring a sub-group of hedge fund managers who pursue Fundamental investment strategies

* Lead meetings with portfolio managers and senior investment and risk professionals at currently invested and prospective hedge funds

* Source, review and conduct investment due diligence on prospective managers across all Fundamental strategies, in collaboration with members of the Operational Due Diligence and Market Risk teams

* Ensure all proper diligence measures were completed prior to presenting to the AFS Investment Committee

* Prepare agendas and write thorough meeting notes for review by senior management, portfolio managers and clients

* Present manager findings and strategy-level views during monthly research meetings

* Provide support to portfolio managers, product specialists and sales/distribution for marketing purposes and investor inquiries

* Participate in current and prospective client meetings

SIE BIETEN...

* Three or more years with direct exposure to hedge funds through an allocator, service provider or direct investment role

* Solid academic background with minimum Bachelor s degree; MBA/graduate degree and/or CFA preferred

* Solid quantitative skills

* Knowledge of economics, financial instruments and derivatives

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Bloomberg (preferred)

* Ability to prioritize and multi-task, take appropriate action and maintain good judgment while ensuring high quality output at all times

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

* Domestic and international travel may be required
