JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF SPORT AND EXERCISE PSYCHOLOGY, SCHOOL OF KINESIOLOGY
Ball State University s School of Kinesiology is inviting applications for a tenure-line faculty position as Assistant/Associate Professor, Sport and Exercise Psychology graduate program, to begin August 18, 2017.
Major responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of sport and exercise psychology, with an emphasis in exercise psychology, advising graduate student thesis/research projects, scholarly productivity related to exercise psychology, physical activity promotion, or closely related area, seeking extramural funding, and professional service.
Minimum qualifications: Earned doctorate in any of the psychological or social sciences within Public Health, Kinesiology or closely related field from an accredited college or university by August 5, 2017. Has teaching experience, a scholarly record with publications, and demonstrated potential for extramural funding. Has ability to advise graduate students and teach courses specifically in exercise psychology and psychology of injury.
Preferred qualifications: Strong evidence of scholarly productivity and successful grant funding from external sources; Certification, or potential to be certified, through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.
