JOB DESCRIPTIONPermanent position for Assistant Construction Project Manager to work closely with project managers and superintendents at school, university, hospital, industrial, and pharmaceutical site construction projects in the Mid-Atlantic region.Assist in permitting, scheduling, procurement, document control, and other functions.Ensure close collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, code and enforcement officials, subcontractors and vendors.Monitor project costs to keep project within budget, including general condition costs and labor budgets to ensure profitability.Assist in communicating accurate project schedule information to subcontractors/suppliers regarding schedule dates and coordination among all trades.Monitor procurement schedule with weekly tracking of status of the schedule; proactively identify and resolve problems,Manage and delegate effectively submittals, RFI, material procurement, material tracking, drawing log, and submittal registry.Work closely with Superintendents to ensure compliance with risk management and safety policies.Ensure comprehensive punch lists are created, communicated and completed as required by contract documents and Quality plan.Effectively manage the closeout process.For all our 100+ job openings in New Jersey and NYC metro area, please visit: http://jobs.terkotech.com/
BS Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred. At
least 2 years of construction experience ideally with educational, industrial,
or healthcare facility projects.Strong verbal and written communication
skills.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and MS ProjectFor
