If you're as tough, dependable and efficient as the compressors we make, then you're the right fit for Quincy Compressor. We are currently seeking a CTS Controller to join our team! This position will be based out of our Corporate Office
located in Bay Minette, AL.
Quincy Compressor has gone through an exciting period of change with set up and acquisitions of direct stores in the United States. This has created a significant service organization and due to this we are looking for a hands-on Business Controller for
the Compressor Technique Service Business Line to strengthen our Business Control Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the control and guidance of the CTS Operations in the Quincy US Customer Center.
Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review and analysis of financial results and development of supporting analytical tools and reports in accordance with FAM and local statutory practices.
Pro-active review and analysis of business trends
Establish and monitor Customer Center overhead rates
Review and analysis of actual product costs versus estimates
Recommendation and implementation of internal control improvements
Maintaining a close working relationship with the CT Divisions, including preparation of BRMs & CRMs, as well as follow up of divisional objectives, projects and expectations
Safeguard the Company s assets
Support general management in making effective business decisions
Participate in business activities and thereby actively contribute to developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets
Prepare and support company planning processes in line with divisional strategies
Raise "red flags" to operational and/or holding management whenever compliance with sound business principles are at risk
Coordinate legal aspects of the business with ACNA
Special projects as directed by the Business Controller, PC and the Group.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting required, Graduate degree, MBA, and/or CPA strongly preferred.
Length and type of experience should be appropriate to ensure success in the position.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience leading accounting, finance, and/or IT teams in a manufacturing operation.
Must demonstrate a history of meeting Atlas Copco core and supervisory competencies at a level that would meet or exceed expectations at Atlas Copco.
Previous successful leadership and supervisory experience required.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to identify trends, discrepancies, or changes in financial results and metrics and to explain complicated accounting, quantitative and qualitative problems a must.
Must be fully conversed in BPCS and The Way We Do Things .
Required to be able to move about the facility (standing, walking).
Some travel required.
Personal Protective Equipment:
While on shop floor, must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times.
Mainly an office environment, with some exposure to a plant environment.
