JOB DESCRIPTIONThe CCTO Assistant Director:
-Assist in the management of day-to-day operations of the regulatory compliance program in the UCCCC including interaction with Regulatory Managers in other departments;
-Assists in the supervision and direction of the activities of compliance staff; participates in development, implementation and review of corrective action plans in response to regulatory audits;
-Contributes to the development and implementation of training sessions for unit and other relevant staff; directs the training of new CCTO employees;
-Responsible for the development and updating of relevant Standard Operating Procedures;
-Assists in UCCCC's clinical research strategic planning, including setting CCTO goals and objectives;
-Assists in the development and revision of compliance program policies, procedures, and/or protocols to ensure compliance with institutional, federal and other regulatory requirements;
-Assists in the oversight of the UCCCC internal audit program;
-Assists in the oversight of the preparation for external audits and creates written reports on audit findings;
-Serves as one of the program's primary liaisons with regulatory federal and non-federal agencies and institutional affiliates;
-Serves as an expert on specified compliance issues; coordinates completion and submission of all compliance documentation; prepares regulatory reports for senior management; and
-Special projects as assigned.
