EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Masters Degree in Clinical Genetic Counseling, required. Seven (7) years progressively responsible, related experience with a demonstrated mastery in dealing with cancer risk.
Certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics.
Demonstrates continuous performance improvement in cancer genetics program in alignment with the overall annual Hospital performance improvement targets.
Meets or exceeds financial goals and objectives of the cancer genetics program. Prepares/monitors annual budget; oversees related billing activities.
Directs and coordinates outreach and marketing activities for the cancer genetics program, as well as related clinical and research functions. Responsible for review, development, recommendation, and implementation of policies and procedures related to the cancer genetics program. Recommends changes, reviews progress, and approves proposals.
Manages utilization of various resources to maintain maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives. Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable.
Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including JCAHO, HIPPA, and Commission on Cancer.
Oversees supervisors and/or program staff to include training, leadership development, and establishing priorities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
