JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Assistant Director, Development - UIO:
Serve as the project manager for the gift officers on the University Initiatives & Organizations (UIO) Team. Function as the Griffin database power user for the team, including updating prospect notes, running monthly standard reports and offering additional Griffin assistance when needed.
Develop and maintain reports as related to prospect identification, research and cultivation. Collaborate with prospect management team in assisting gift officers in active prospect management.
Prepare prospect briefings, agendas and materials. Participate in prospect strategy development as it relates to prospect qualification, cultivation, stewardship and other interactions. Assist gift officers with prospect cultivation and appropriate engagement. Proactively track donor stewardship.
Assist in developing written online and print materials for specific fundraising activities. Assist with the creation of itineraries and briefings for Deputy Deans and faculty as needed.
Serve as a liaison and coordinator for events in targeted cities. Provide information in response to specific requests, direct calls and other relevant information to appropriate individuals while using discretion and judgment with confidential information.
Advance any initiatives or tasks deemed beneficial to the UIO team. Anticipate next steps and follow-up related to core activity such as frontline fundraising and active prospect management.
Perform other duties as assigned. Seek opportunities for professional development that will enhance job performance, including building networks within the University and with colleagues at peer institutions.
