Responsible for the supervision and development of Commodity Managers in support of Fabrication goals.
This position can be located in Denton, TX or Bellevue, WA
Responsible for negotiating and managing all aspects of PACCAR s relationship with a group of suppliers, including the commercial/contractual requirements with respect to total cost, technology, delivery, raw material supply chain, customer service, aftermarket support, logistics and quality. Perform competitive market-tests, conduct contract/price negotiations, support division/plant purchasing related programs, and manage supplier relationships. Provide stand-in support for Director of Purchasing.
5-12 years of purchasing, engineering, or related experience - commercial transportation, heavy equipment, or automotive experience is a plus.
Experience with original equipment part purchasing, design, manufacturing, and/or supply chain management.
Supervisory experience including demonstrated leadership to accomplish corporate objectives.
Proven negotiation and strong analytical skills.
Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic.
Project Team participation and/or Project Management.
Excellent communication skills written, verbal, & presentation.
PC skills (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint).
Able to travel (domestic and international).
Experience with metal manufacturing process a plus
Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
Masters or MBA preferred.
