Position Summary: Princeton University seeks an experienced Information Delivery Analyst for the Office of Development. This position will report to the Associate Director of Information Delivery. The staff member will be responsible for the development of information delivery solutions including, but not limited to, Cognos reports. The staff member will also be responsible for development in areas such as Business Intelligence, Dashboards, Business Analytics and development for Princeton University's alumni relations/fundraising application, Sungard Advance.

The specific responsibilities of this position include providing business analysis through interaction with the user community leading to the preparation of detailed programming specifications. The staff member will design, build, test and implement business intelligence reports and dashboards. This position will also be responsible for trend analysis and handling of ad hoc data analysis requests.

Development Information Systems provides IT solutions in support of the collection, management, analysis, and dissemination of information critical to the success of the Office of Development and the Alumni Association. We provide technology solutions that aid our business partners in the areas of core data repository enhancements, information delivery, and supplemental applications.

Requirements:
Principal Duties

-Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements and provide accurate estimates of work for Business Intelligence, Dashboards, and SunGard Advance projects and the creation of ad-hoc reports.

-Design, construct and maintain Cognos reporting solutions including standard reports and dashboards.

-Review existing business processes, then analyze to provide and implement solutions for process improvements.

-Write detailed specifications and implement fixes on maintenance issues.

-Coordinate work between central IT representatives and Development Information Systems.

-Responsible for quality management surrounding production support and project initiatives.

-Provide business analysis support to the Office of Development on production issues.

-Develop documentation on work-related tasks internal to group.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Essential Qualifications:

-Demonstrated strength in critical thinking to identify system solutions for changing/evolving business requirements.

-Experience performing data selection and SQL development using PL/SQL and Oracle Stored Procedures (2-4 years)

-Experience writing reports with an Enterprise Reporting Tool (Cognos preferred) (1-3 years)

-Experience building dashboards and business analytics using an Enterprise Dash Boarding Tool (Tableau a plus) (1-3 years)

-Experience with office tools such as PowerPoint and Word

-Experience developing solutions using Excel and MS Access

-Excellent customer service skills

-Effective communication, presentation and facilitation skills

-Must be a team player and also able to work independently

-Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
