Bright Horizons at Broad Street located at 125 Broad Street in Manhattan is a back up program for children ages six weeks through twelve years old. The center is open from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., serving a capacity of 44 children. We are currently looking for an Assistant Director to work alongside the Director to ensure the implementation of a developmentally appropriate program that meets NAEYC Standards and Bright Horizons Family Solutions philosophy and guidelines.

* Bachelor s degree in Education required with certification in B-2, N-6, 1-6, Special Education or School Building Leadership. Masters preferred in Education Requires two to four years of professional teaching experience with infants, toddlers and preschoolers
* One year of prior supervisory experience, including classroom leadership responsibility or professional administration experience in a child care center
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* An understanding of NAEYC accreditation and licensing standards
* Knowledge and ability to lead staff in implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum
* Respond well to unusual or crisis situations
* Strong organizational skills
* Capacity to understand and manage center/school financial duties
* Computer literacy required
* Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences
