Position Title: Assistant Executive Housekeeper Department: Housekeeping FLSA: Exempt Reports to: Executive Housekeeper JOB OVERVIEW: Assist with overseeing housekeeping operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Assistant Executive Housekeeper would also be required to assist the Executive Housekeeper and monitor standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with overseeing Housekeeping/Laundry operations, supervisors, and coordinators. Operate within departmental budgets through effective stock and cost controls and well managed labor. Support and assist in the development of departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures. Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Housekeeping /Laundry Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork. Assist with the development and monitoring of training programs for new hires and current employees. Ensure ongoing employee development to support the Executive Housekeeper. Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities. Assist the Executive Housekeeper to maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers. Ensures staffing levels cover business demands. Ensures communication meetings are conducted. Manages staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures and with the approval and guidance of the executive housekeeper. Assumes a very hands on management style. Works closely with the Front Desk to ensure accommodations are ready in a timely manner. Report any maintenance needs to the Engineering Manager and the executive housekeeper in a timely and urgent manner. Act as the department leader in absence of the Executive Housekeeper Assist other departments wherever necessary and with other duties as assigned.
