POSITION PURPOSE: Assist in the direction of all Housekeeping activities ensuring compliance with Doyle Collection standards of products and service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO): Working on the floors - inspecting rooms, inspecting Supervisors, ensuring all standards are being met in line with our quality standards. This includes spot checking rooms and taking appropriate action where required. Plan and monitor activities to ensure activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards. Inspect work in Public space and Guest rooms and provide guidelines to ensure standards are met and deficiencies are corrected. Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with the Hotels Health & Safety program. Communicate effectively to conduct staff and departmental meetings. Attend various other related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information. Distribute, delegate and direct workload to ensure maximum productivity and customer satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and materials. Monitor and evaluate team member performance. Coach and counsel team members when needed. Working in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper with all training for new hires as well as re-training veteran associates. Office Tasks including, but not limited to creating weekly schedule, completing weekly payroll, and completing nightly Linen Inventory. Ensuring that suppliers are providing high quality service and maintaining a healthy relationship with them in order to maintain our product integrity. This will include stock forecasting and purchasing. Maintaining a strong relationship with all departments, particularly reservations and front desk to ensure our guests enjoy the best quality of standards and service whilst the room division teams are working in partnership with each other. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: Greet each guest with a smile and apply the 20/10 rule (make eye contact at 20 feet and verbally greet at 10 feet). Ensure guests are greeted in the hallways and in the public spaces. Assists room attendants and supervisors with any issues that come up. Completing daily room inspections for room attendants and daily re-training on standards where needed. Completing a daily check of the housekeeping closets to ensure cleanliness and organization. Work with Exec. Housekeeper to meet and exceed all goals for Housekeeping cleanliness, including, but not limited to Leading Quality Assurance (LQA).
