The Doubletree Hotel in Worthington, Ohio is located in a scenic loop of local businesses called CrossWoods Plaza, which includes a multi-level 16 screen theater. We are a 306 room hotel with 17,000 square feet of meeting space and a breathtaking atrium, including a full waterfall. We stay very busy year round, so be prepared to never have a moment of boredom!

Primary job responsibilities include:

- Assists the F & B Director with the activities of the hotel catering sales team, providing leadership and motivation necessary to implement effective sales and marketing strategies and to maximize the generation of hotel catering salesrevenues.

- Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group andor convention business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, cateringbanquet services.

- Develops and manages the departmental budget and monitors sales activities performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan and to accurately report variancesprojections.

- Directs the scheduling of conventions and group activities at the hotel and coordinates with other hotel-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the catering and sales office and prospective clients.

- Recruits, hires, train, and provide career development for all catering sales personnel; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to employees using company hiring standards and guidelines.

- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

- Schedules employees under direct supervision at proper staffing levels; watches labor cost daily to ensure efficiency in scheduling.

- Ensures restaurant adheres to all standards as outlined by brand or hotel franchise.

- Inspects daily pre and post-shift side work and cleanliness of outlet areas.

- Maintains standards of food and beverage quality and guest services; resolves guest complaints.

- Assists in employee discipline, recognition and performance evaluations.

- Participates in monthly inventories. Initiates programs to reduce breakage and loss in China, Glass and Silver.

- Performs Manager on Duty shifts.
