JOB ROLE Coordinates front office activities of hotel and resolves problems arising from guests¡¦ complaints, reservation and room assignment activities, and unusual requests and inquiries by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Reports directly to Front Desk Manager. The individual MUST have the following credentials: · High School diploma · Some if not all College diploma · Minimum 5 years of hospitality experience · Marriott experience is a plus · Must have been a supervisor, AFOM or FOM · Must be local 50 mile radius DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES æ Advises quests of available activities such as swimming, roller skating, boating, golf and other sports. æ Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services. æ Arrange for private telephone line and other special services. æ Assigns duties and shifts to workers and observes performances to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures. æ Assists each and every department to his/her best abilities when requested. æ Attends weekly staff meetings and communicates the information back to his staff æ Business center; Ascertain that equipments are functional and supplies are stocked. æ Confers and cooperates with other dept. heads to ensure coordination of activities. æ Fulfills MOD (Manager on Duty) program as required by rotation. æ Greets important guests, walks them to their room. Follows up through out their stay. æ Ordering: Uniforms and any other supplies that are essential for the operation to the front desk. Takes monthly inventory to ascertain that we have adequate supplies. æ Organizes and conducts training and meetings for departments that are under his/her supervision. æ Oversees job duties and fills in as Bell or Valet Person when needed. æ Oversees job duties and fills in as Concierge when needed. Minimum 5 hours a week æ Oversees job duties and fills in as Guest Service Agent when needed. Minimum 5 hours a week. æ Oversees job duties and fills in as Valet / Drivers when needed. Minimum 5 hours a week. æ Patrols common areas, investigates disturbances and takes appropriate actions. æ Receives and processes advance registration payments. æ Sends out letters of confirmation or returns checks when registration cannot be accepted. æ Teaches, trains and coaches employees to ascertain top performance.
