JOB DESCRIPTION

XE Hospitality is seeking a dynamic leader to assume the position of Assistant General Manager with a strong operational background, team-oriented personality, and a desire to exceed company & brand operating expectations for the Hampton Inn & Suites-IAH located conveniently on John F. Kennedy Blvd, less than a mile away from Bush Intercontinental Airport. Local candidates & hotel management experience preferred. This position will have oversight of the housekeeping, front office, and other departments of the property. A hands-on approach is necessary to effectively manage the quality of customer service and guest suite cleanliness. Depending on experience, areas of responsibilities will be assigned accordingly. Successful candidates would lead and motivate the team as a coach and trainer in all realms of the operation including front desk, housekeeping, and laundry, maintenance, shuttle, and food service procedures. This position will be responsible for continually focusing on achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction, and development of employees. This position will report directly to the General Manager of the hotel. The responsibilities also include managing the daily hotel operations to achieve planned goals for operational integrity as measured by revenue, house profit, and RevPAR index while maintaining company standards for guest satisfaction, associate satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection. This position may also handle the purchasing and payroll submission for the property. This position will also be involved in the interviewing and hiring of new associates, as well as disciplinary measures. The ideal candidate must have at least one to three years of management experience as well as the ability to demonstrate leadership and professional image to associates and guests. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as the hours for this management position will vary. We have additional properties in the pipeline and would like to see this individual grow into bigger roles with the company in the future. Additional: Manage cost controls and labor across departments to stay within budgeted parameters Supervision of all hotel departments Daily room inspections Ensure the highest standards of service expected from our guests Participate in the selection of associates Maintain an open door policy to address any team member issues Provide all training, including safety training to the team Assist with marketing and sales efforts as directed Provide complete operational and staff support in the absence of the General Manager
