Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE

Plan and manage the room and related areas operations of the hotel to achieve customer (guests, employees, corporate and owners) satisfaction and quality service while meetingexceeding financial goals.

Position is responsible for short and long-term planning and day-to-day operations of the room and related areas. Recommends the areas budget and manages expenses within approved budget constraints. The major areas of responsibilitymanagement include: the front office, guest services, housekeeping, security and gift shop. May have responsibility for recreation. Participates in total hotel management as a member of the Hotel Executive Committee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the human resources in the division in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles, discipline and terminate, as appropriate.

Develop, recommend, implement and manage the divisions annual budget, businessmarketing plan, forecasts and objectives to meetexceed management expectations.

Implement company programs and manage the operations of the department in a manner consistent with federal and state laws and regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.

Implement emergency organization procedures and training through the management of the security staff to ensure appropriate protection for hotel guests, staff and company assets.

OTHER DUTIESRESPONSIBILITIES

May assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in hisher absence.

Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.

Travel required to attend corporate training, meetings and other event(s) as deemed necessary.

Hours: 40+ hours over a five day period. Days and times may vary based on need.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES -

50 to 100 employees.

Inside 99 of 40+ hours.

Employees are held accountable for all duties of job and other duties as assigned.
