TITLE

Assistant Manager, Accounts Payable

LOCATION

Orrville, OH

REPORTS TO

Manager, Accounts Payables

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Train, develop and lead a staff of processors and analysts

* Oversee month end processes for Accounts Payable, including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations and month end analysis

* Support accounting and purchasing teams with various Accounts Payable related items

* Lead Accounts Payable business process improvements, including:

* Electronic invoicing implementation (supplier enablement)

* New payment mediums

* Reducing invoicing transaction costs

* Accounts Payable best practices

* Holds management

* Assist Manager to develop adequate controls within Accounts Payable processes and ensure internal controls and procedures are in place to mitigate risks

* Identify and provide recommendations and resolutions for missed discount opportunities

* Complete and update controls enhancements policies and procedures

* Investigate and implement new payment mediums (i.e.- virtual cards)

* Provide recommendations supporting terms management within Oracle and support working capital initiatives with Financial Planning and Analysis teams

* Create and deliver professional developmental opportunities for new and existing Accounts Payable employees

* Continually review and develop staffing model and processes to ensure an effective and efficient run model within Accounts Payable. Provide recommendations for changes

* Manage credit card payment service provider relating to travel & entertainment and purchasing card programs, including overseeing the issue resolution process and administration functions.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

Experience

* A minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience is required

* Accounts payable experience is preferred

* People management experience is preferred

Other

* ERP experience is a plus

* Ariba experience is preferred

* Oracle experience is a plus

* Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

* Excellent communication skills (written/verbal), organization and interpersonal skills

* Demonstrated initiative and innovation in achieving results

* Dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service

* Proven ability to perform well and with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines

* Ability to prioritize and manage workload and changing deadlines

* Ability to work in a team oriented environment

* Ability to travel as needed
