JOB DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this job is to create and drive production schedules. This would include tracking progress of production, reviewing factors which affect production and ensuring any hurdles to schedule adherence are dealt with effectively & in a timely manner. . The role requires strong interpersonal skills - ability to drive cross functional collaboration, analytical skills - on ground problem solving, and understanding of generics manufacturing process.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare and release a block schedule for all manufacturing & packaging areas basis inputs from key stakeholders - planning/ SCM, production, engineering & QA-QC
- Factoring in customer priorities on strategic orders/ demand & stock orders. Distributing monthly production load across weeks & machines to ensure maximum equipment & capacity utilization after

adjusting for constraints
- Daily update on progress against schedule & revision of schedule
- Daily monitoring of key machines & escalating any delays on these machines
- Co-leading the daily production progress meeting
- Updating the production area wise charts before meeting
- Reviewing schedule adherence & creating claw back plan
- Highlighting & solving for potential hurdles to the particular day's output
- Leading the weekly schedule adherence meeting to review progress against weekly plan
- Preparation of data for the schedule adherence dashboard metrics
- Analyzing reasons for schedule misses
- Preparing claw back plan in conjunction with SCM & manufacturing
- Proactively mitigating risks to the current schedule
- Distribute weekly production schedules to key process areas
- Communicates on a regular basis with Production, Quality, and Warehouse to perform problem solving activities, root cause analysis and process improvements
- Review suggested methods and processes and recommend improvements for production planning to improve resource utilization by reducing cycle times
- Manufacturing and Packaging batch issuance and record keeping to ensure correct batches are issued against the schedules
- Follow up with SCM to ensure planning is in line with material release dates. Could potentially involve following up with QC, warehouse & QA to double check material availability.
- Ensuring proper data management so that progress can be tracked against historical data
- Maintenance of RM QC & FG QC tracker post monthly update by SCM

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain or equivalent (directly related) work experience
- 5-7 + years of production planning/ scheduling and/or inventory control
- Knowledge of production process of pharmaceuticals
- Must be well organized and detail oriented
- Strong data analysis, problem solving skills and mathematical ability
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good to have working knowledge of ERP/ MRP SYSTEMS
