Assistant Outlet Manager Trainee
*
* Under the general guidance and supervision of the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage and the Hotel Manager, oversees and directs all aspect of the outlet areas as needed, within the limits of the established IHG policies and procedures\.*
* Responsibilities:

*
* + Supervises the day\-to\-day function of all employees in the outlets + Supervises, coordinates and directs the prompt, efficient and courteous serving of food and beverages in the outlets + Assists with managing employee's schedules to the established IHG labor standards and guidelines + Assists Outlet Manager in planning work assignments based on room occupancy forecast, Convention Services resumes and VIP lists, adjusts schedules to meet any emergencies or other requirements\. + Aids in training plans and implements on\-the\-job training sessions for outlet employees + Establishes and maintains effective employee relations + Conducts daily per shift meetings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results in the outlets + Controls the cashier system + Controls and analyzes, on an on\-going basis, the following:
Quality levels of production, Guest Satisfaction, Operating Costs, Sanitation \(cleanliness and hygiene\), Ensures optimum performance in each of the above areas + Establishes and maintains guest relations, monitors guest experience to fulfill additional requests + Recommends specials, meals, appetizers, and/or beverages to the guests in an up selling manner and answers any questions + Oversees and ensures deliver of VIP amenities according to F&B Standards + Relays orders to kitchen/bar following established procedures of the Food & Beverage department + Attends and contributes to departmental meetings + Participates in service as necessary in accordance with the requirements and practices of the outlets + Ensures that all hotel P&P Standards are met as outlined by all Outlet employees + Assumes responsibility for daily management task/service in the absence of Outlet Manager + Controls and maintains stock and assists in the monthly inventory check + Perform other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned*
* Qualifications

* Qualifications:

*
* Hospitality Management Degree or some college\. One and a half to two years full service outlet management experience, and/or areas of room service, bar, breakfast room, in a similar establishment\. Food Hygiene awareness and basic training\. Knowledgeable in food preparation, food allergies and beverage/wine knowledge\. Must be able to effectively communicate written and verbally in English\. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations\. Required to work any shift in all types of conditions pertinent to the job including nights, weekends, and/or holidays\.*
* This role requires the following Essential Skills:

* + Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel + Familiar with Micros system + Must have excellent employee relations skills with ability to motivate staff and maintain a cohesive team + Ability to supervise train and direct employees, giving corrections when needed + Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy + Ability to work under pressure, while remaining calm exercising excellent independent judgment skills + Ability to work in fast paced environment + Must be a confident individual who is willing to assume responsibility + Ability to demonstrates high degree of drive and determination + Adaptive and flexible, team player + Must be able to maintain a highly positive and friendly image that will reflect well on hotels overall appearance + Ability to adhere to hotels grooming standards; policy and procedures + Must meet state legal are requirement to serve or handle alcohol + Ability to move about the outlets/function rooms + Ability to work with/handling all products and equipment prescribed + Ability to aid in the transportation of all work equipment and produce pertinent + Ability to carrying or lift items weighing up to 20 pounds + Able to bend, stoop and kneel + Food Hygiene Certification + First Aid Certification/Awareness + TIPS Certified*
