The Assistant Area Manager s primary responsibilities will include working with the Area Manager in the daily management and coordination of plant operations including production, budgeting, logistics and maintenance while ensuring compliance with all labor, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations. These responsibilities will be carried out in a manner that consistently demonstrates the established visions and values of the company.
Ensure site compliance to all labor, safety and environmental regulations.
Lead facilities management team as well as production and maintenance personnel in day to day activities to ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded in terms of delivery and quality.
Assume P&L responsibility including the development and achievement of budgetary goals to ensure the long-term viability of the plant.
Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs of all material handling systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
Works with the management team in planning, budgeting, organizing resources, executing work plans, monitors production and quality, co-ordinates priorities, resolves issues and participates in special projects and work schedules.
Bachelor s degree required
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a department management role supervising other
Engineering background with people management a plus
Must have strong financial, mathematical and analytical skills, excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated ability to organize, develop and build a team
Must be able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships within a team and within all departments in Charlotte Packaging
Must be hands on, eager to learn multi-functions and able to gain respect of all employees within the packaging operation
Must be customer service-oriented; understanding customer demands, customer service level expectations and executing to those demands with a sense of urgency
Must have experience developing budgets, monitoring daily and monthly compliance to the budgets and making adjustments when necessary
Must have experience with WMS system and the Work Order process system
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AS400, JDE, and Kronos
