Assistant Professor of Spanish Like Employer:Company Confidential Location:Memphis, TN United States Last Updated:01/27/2012 Job Description Institution:Rhodes CollegePosition Title: Assistant Professor of SpanishJob Location:Memphis, TNDescription: The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures invites applications for a one year assistant professor position as a sabbatical replacement in Spanish to begin August 2012. PhD in hand by July 1, 2012. Preference will be given to candidates who specialize in 18th 21st century Peninsular Spanish literature and cultural studies. Additional areas of teaching interest that would be desirable include second language acquisition and film studies. The candidate should be familiar with contemporary theories of second language acquisition and have a record of excellence in teaching. Teaching load will be 3 3. Native or near native fluency in Spanish required.Founded in 1848, Rhodes College is a highly selective, private, residential, undergraduate college, located in Memphis, Tennessee.
