Materials Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara
The Materials Department in the College of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor position (tenure-track) in Inorganic Materials.
Candidates should demonstrate the potential to build a world-leading, experimental research program focusing on areas such as the development of novel materials, advancing the science of unique properties, innovative materials characterization, and materials applications. We particularly encourage applications from candidates with expertise in materials in one or more of the following areas: materials for energy; strongly correlated electron and quantum materials; novel semiconductors and topological electronic materials, photonic materials; and functional materials for transformative device applications. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in materials science, physics, chemistry or related science and engineering fields by the time of appointment.
