OverviewUS Residential has an excellent opportunity for a polished, engaging and energetic Assistant Property Manager to join our team at one of our Section 8properties in Portland, Oregon.ResponsibilitiesOur Assistant Property Managers provide support to the Property Manager and assume a leadership role in their absence. Together with the Property Manager, this role is responsible for the overall operation, and the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed, well-maintained Community. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and federal, state, and local laws; maintains acceptable and supportive environment for all residents; manages site staff and their duties, interacts with and supervises vendors.Qualifications2+ years' experience at the Assistant Manager level or above within the property management industry; minimum 1-2 years' experience with tax credit and Section 8 properties required. Working knowledge of principles and practices of property management record keeping with an understanding of resident ledger analysis. Working knowledge of 3-day notice procedures and strong collections experience required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft software such as Excel, Word and Outlook email and with Property Management Software; proficiency with the YARDI and OneSite Software system is highly desirable but not required. The ability to develop a sense of community amongst staff and residents. Model a positive customer service attitude that demonstrates an understanding and sensitivity to residents with different cultural backgrounds, economic status and those with special needs.
