OVERVIEW:

The position of Assistant Relationship Officer is responsible for providing assistance to the Lending Officers by conducting credit investigations and analyzing credit information pertaining to loans. Prepares credit reports for loan officers, furnishes information relative to credit inquiries. Services a variety of commercial banking and small business customers with commercial borrowing or other related needs. Accompanies loan officers on customer calls.



Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, centrally located files, and regional offices.
*

Analyzes financial statements and related material including trade and bank references for new and renewed loans.
*

Prepares written summaries on research and analysis to loan officers.
*

Renders opinions, if required, concerning credit-worthiness on loans to Loan Officer or Chief Lending Officer.
*

Ensures that all documentation including financial statements, agency reports, etc. are in the credit file.
*

Assists with file reviews, follow-up of financial information and monitoring loan covenants.
*

Assist loan officers with on-site visits to customer s place of business to increase or retain existing business.
*

Assists in servicing delinquent commercial loans and restructuring or collecting problem loans.
*

Participates with Loan Officer or Chief Lending Officer on managing loans and keeping informed as to the status of the loans in the portfolio.
*

Provides account servicing to customers including monitoring uncollected funds, overdrafts, and NSF activity as well as request for draws and pay downs on loans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor s degree from a four-year college or university and two (2) or more years of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and training.

*

Work related experience must consist of experience in financial analysis, a working knowledge of loan documentation (i.e. letter of credit, UCC filings, and personal/corporate guarantees) and customer call experience in the financial services industry.
*

Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
*

Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies. * Must be able to develop and analyze financial statement and tax return analysis typically resulting from a combination of education in accounting, financial and/or credit analysis or related areas.
