The Loews Annapolis Hotel and BAROAK Restaurant is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. Loews Annapolis Hotel is a 215 room, upscale, full service property that boasts a complete makeover in both guest rooms and public space! We are proud of our 17,000 square feet of function space and three meal restaurant. We are the proud home of BAROAK Cookhouse and Taproom, a three meal breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurant that features mussels and frites and is the concept of Chef Teddy Folkman of Granville Moore Pub in Washington DC! The Assistant Restaurant manager is a member of our Leadership team and is responsible for supporting the Restaurant General Manager and the Restaurant and Room Service teams in order to allow them to provide the best quality food and beverage in the City in Annapolis and according to Loews Hotels standards. Specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Recruit, select, train and develop the most professional, personable service staff in the city. «Exceed Loews Hotels Star Service standards. «Evaluate changes in guest needs, the hotels guest mix, industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes be made to ensure guest and employee satisfaction, and to maintain market dominance and exceptional financial returns. «Work with the Executive Leadership to develop annual departmental operating budget. «Monitor and maintain departments financial performance within approved budgetary guidelines. «Responsible for the profit performance of assigned departments. «Responsible for overall guest satisfaction, setting goals to achieve specific objectives within assigned departments. «Responsible for overall resolution of guest problems or complaints within assigned departments. «Actively participates and promotes staff involvement in community and service projects through Loews Good Neighbor program. «Demonstrates and promotes teamwork among management staff. «Promotes and ensures a clean and safe work environment. «Coordinates security efforts with the hotel Security team to ensure the safety of hotel guests and employees. «Coordinates departmental emergency evacuation activities. «Conduct daily education and training on Star Service standards, wine and alcohol education as well as up-selling techniques. Ensure Daily Line Up is conducted for all shifts. «Evaluate marketing efforts. Develop, plan and execute new revenue opportunities. «Ensure 100' Guest Satisfaction. Support the Hotels Guest Incident Action Form. «Review equipment pars and adjust, if necessary, with the Executive Steward. «Work with Sales team to ensure VIPs receive exceptional service and recognition. «Monitor and provide appropriate training on cash handling and the Micros system. «Other duties as assigned.
