If you're looking for flexible hours, advancement opportunities and other great perks this could be the beginning of a beautiful career.The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supervising Customer Service Representatives and coaching Shift Leaders as needed. Responsible for store operations during the Store Manager's absence. Job Requirements: Assists in the creation of a positive customer experience that includes a proactive interaction and immediate resolution for customer issues as needed. Shares overall responsibility for setting, monitoring, and driving sales goals set by the strategic sales plan. Assist in setting, communicating and executing marketing and merchandising programs to achieve key marketing initiatives. Responsible for assigning individual shift goals to employees and following up with each of them to ensure delivery of goals. Assist SM with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, developing, evaluating, coaching, and counseling store employees. Ensures the proper cash controls and loss prevention procedures are in place and followed. Prepares and supports the inventory process by conducting pre counts and participating in inventories. Ensures that store appearance and merchandising is in compliance with ongoing marketing programs, product is displayed timely and appropriately, and the store is clean and maintained per company standards. Processes administrative tasks as needed including reviewing and taking action on daily reports and participating in the identification of financial strengths and opportunities on a monthly basis. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; some college or degree preferredMinimum 1 to 3 years retail sales/customer service experience Minimum 1 year supervisory experience Skills and Qualifications: Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)Excellent customer service and sales skills Availability to work all shifts Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of movies and games Ability to perform all job duties and to lift up to 35 pounds from floor to waist Additional Information: If you love great entertainment including FREE rentals and your skills are a good match for this position, apply to Blockbuster now, this could be the place for you.We would like to thank everyone who submits his or her resume for this position.
