Job Description
As a Retail Assistant Store Manager you will uphold our commitment to Go Green by encouraging others to recycle their gently used goods. The Assistant Store Manager needs to be well organized and able to set a fast paced, goal oriented, multi-tasking environment serving donors and retail customers. By staying focused on quality and productivity while coaching staff in the performance of team-based tasks, the Assistant Manager will lead the team to meet or exceed store goals and objectives.
Retail Assistant Store Manager Job Purpose: Serves customers by providing merchandise; supervising staff.
Retail Assistant Store Manager Job Duties:
Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintains store staff by assisting in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Maintains operations by coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
Ensures availability of merchandise and services by maintaining optimal inventories.
Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
