Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent, working out of our Austin office.
Specific duties include: Managing subcontractor performance, development and tracking of CPM schedules, management of overall general construction budgets and safety programs. Comprehend all design documents, develop material procurement lists and incorporate into master schedule, review shop drawings, establish and monitor QC program, and value-engineer throughout projects. Mentor subordinates, effectively communicate with all project team members, make sound decisions, and seek creative solutions to problems using all available resources. Create Raving Fans and sell additional work.
Professional background must include 5 years of experience in commercial construction, multi-family project experience preferred. Qualifications include: Knowledge of current building codes, supervision skills, scheduling experience using MS Project and/or Primavera, and familiarity with local construction market.
Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field, possess a valid driver s license, and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random testing. Ability to speak Spanish would be a plus. Successful candidate will possess both willingness and ability to travel and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers.
