Job Description:Assist the Tool & Diemaker with planning, layout and construction of a variety of intricate, highly specialized tools, fixtures, jigs, dies and gauges requiring high quality workmanship while holding to extremely close tolerances or close tolerances Job Duties and Responsibilities:Assists with Fabricating, modifying, or repairing tools and dies which includes but is not limited to the following:Measures, marks, and scribes dies and fixtures to lay out workpiece for machining, drilling, milling and grinding/sanding.Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, punch presses, milling machines, grinders, brakes, andlapping and polishing machines, to machine parts to specifications.Assembles parts in jig Verifies dimensions of parts and installation of components.Sets up and operates machines to fabricate dies for presses.Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Furnish own tools including precision measuring toolsMust have proficient knowledge of mathematical equations and pass a functional test by a score of 70% or higher.Required to read and understand scales, protractors and dial calipers in order to take measurements.Required to read blue prints, tools, work orders, mapping and recorder charts.Required to read and interpret safety, operating, maintenance and procedure manualsRequired to lift up to 50 lbs individually, lift 100 lbs(with assistance) and be able to stand/walk 90% of the work dayMust work a full-time schedule and overtime as required.Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GEDVocational or Technical School training and CNC experience is preferred but not required
