Auburn University Department of Nutrition, Dietetics, and Hospitality Management POSITION: AssistantAssociate Professor in Nutrition with a focus on foods, food service or related area. Nine-month tenure-track position to begin August 16, 2012. Salary and start-up package commensurate with qualifications. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected applicant will be responsible for 1) teaching courses in Food Systems Operations (Quantity Foods) and its laboratory and Food Service Management; 2) directing doctoral and masters students; and 3) maintaining a research program in basic or appliedclinical research. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in nutrition or related field with a record of research and university instruction. R.D. is strongly preferred. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English. SETTING: This interdisciplinary department is affiliated with the College of Human Sciences. The department offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degree options in the areas of nutrition and hospitality management. The DPDs undergraduate enrollment is approximately 250 students.
