Duties and Responsibilities
The Loyola Business Leadership Hub is currently seeking a strategic leader to serve as the Center's Associate Director, Development and Strategic Marketing. This position will be focused on building revenue for a Center of Distinction and member Centers by developing new and existing membership base, effective marketing strategies and relevant member events:
-Develops and supports partnership with Corporate & Foundation Relations, University and Quinlan School of Business development staff to coordinate advancement opportunities with current and potential Center members
-Achieves strategic short- and long-range revenue goals through a combination of membership dues, sponsorships, and gifts.
-Visit member businesses on an annual basis to assess their needs, provide updates on center offerings and get program feedback.
-Grow and ensure security of Centers mailing lists
-Implement / maintain membership portals
-Identify and develop corporate and non-profit sponsored research opportunities for Center proposals
-Steward relationships with current Center member organizations
-Development and execution of the Marketing Plan for the Centers, including analysis of demographics and providing recommendations regarding the marketing strategy for various programs and coordinating with the QSB Director of Communication and UMC
-Manage marketing channel activity including assessing existing promotional plans, recommending modifications, and implementing web, direct and other marketing communications channels.
-Identify and implement appropriate social media tools and technologies in a strategic, integrated fashion.
-Monitor website traffic and utilize appropriate analytical tools in coordination with external marketing partners to identify opportunities to improve website effectiveness
-Responsible for strategic oversight of Center blog, newsletter, Website and Social media platforms.
-Schedule, plan and implement Center major events for the Family Business Center, Supply & Value Chain Center, and Executive Education Center.
-Responsible for event planning and execution for a center of distinction and member Centers including selection of location, scheduling, catering, marketing, performance to budget and to the standards of Loyola University Chicago
-Identify and negotiate with speakers for events.
-Oversee student workers as needed for event planning and marketing execution
-Depending on interest, the successful candidate may also teach Quinlan degree courses or Executive Education Programs.
-Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education or Experience
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-10 years progressively responsible related professional work experience. MBA preferred. Experience in higher education and/or industry associations is a plus.

Computer Skills:
Proficient computer skills and ability to use MS Office Suite

The ideal candidate will have strong business development, marketing, and leadership skills and be passionate about our Centers. Experience managing program staff is required and experience with grant and/or proposal writing is ideal. The candidate will have solid communication skills and an ability to comfortably interact with all constituencies, both internal and external. The candidate must be a self-starter who is creative, resourceful, and responsive, and will demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with meticulous attention to detail. The selected candidate will bring high energy, a sense of humor, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

-Robust written and verbal communication skills
-Subject matter expertise in one of the Center disciplines is a plus
