Job Responsibilities:

* Performing mandated inspections and testing.

* Supervise resources and prioritize work to complete essential work within acceptable time frames.

* Monitor, assess and implement changes to achieve targets for safety, customer focus, service and cost.

* Perform safety observation tours and conduct safety meetings.

* Ensure established targets are tracked and met.

* Assist with scheduling for all department assignments.

* Maintain communications with other departments, municipal inspectors, contractors and customers.

* Provide timely and accurate record keeping.

* Administer performance reviews, positive discipline and absenteeism policies.

* Train field employees in pressure regulation, odorization and instrumentation

* Maintain department inventories and supplies.

* Maintain a good working relationship with union representatives.

* Resolve customer complaints in a satisfactory manner.

* Respond to all gas emergencies, from individual orders to
system wide events by mobilizing and coordinating activities of a large
and mobile work force and in concert with other departments.

* Must continuously look for improvements in the current processes and propose.

Job Qualifications:

* Job related experience or knowledge equivalent to
Bachelor's Degree with a strong gas theory background. Company
supervisory experience is preferred.

* Technical knowledge of distribution system, engineering,
construction and maintenance practices. Strong leadership,
team-building and problem-solving skills.

* Knowledge of Regulatory requirements.

* Good oral and written communication skills.

* Competent computer skills.

* Ability to travel overnight outside of the normal work area as necessary.

* Ability to work overtime including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
