Associate Actuary with FSA Designation - Westchester

Responsible for new and existing product pricing. Leads the actuarial team in researching and developing new products. Services pricing requests on existing cases and provides level term quotes for new case proposals.

Provides the work product for annual asset adequacy testing for level term, whole life, and disability income reserves. This includes both Gross Premium Valuation and the development of at least one Cash Flow Testing model.

Assists in client-specific case management by projecting inforce performance.

Manages the preparation and analyses of various financial statements, studies and projections.

Responsible for setting and periodically verifying assumptions that are used in product pricing and reserving. Provides audit support when necessary.

Annually creates and justifies GMAD's X Factors to be used in calculating Level Term reserves

Annually provides the work product needed to certify non-guaranteed elements are able to be illustrated. This includes Disciplined Current Scale, testing and other compliance duties.
Knowledge & Skills: FSA designation from the Society of Actuaries. Experience with Prophet preferred.

Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage effectively. 5+ years related experience

Decision-Making: Moderately. The ideal candidate would be required to make important decisions regarding product pricing and positioning which will directly impact GMAD's earnings.

Scope Accountability: This position would directly impact the sales and profit levels of GMAD' s level term and permanent products.

Supervisory Responsibility: Possibly - 1 actuarial student

Communications/Contacts: Communications internally to management and occasionally externally to GMAD's client groups.
