This is a position within FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00] This individual performs physical tasks and routine clerical duties in connection with the operation of the mailroom. This position is responsible for sorting incoming interoffice and US Mail and parcels; making mail deliveries and pick-ups to established mail stops within the office building and preparing mail, parcels, and packages. The position is located at the Greensburg Corporate Office and reports to the Supervisor, Mail & Food Services. Responsibilities include:
- Loading and unloading materials, equipment, tools, to and from mail carts in accordance with safe work practices - Preparing material, equipment, tools, etc. for shipment via courier, UPS, or US Mail - Delivering and disbursing mail, material, equipment, tools, supplies, etc. throughout the building - Sorting interoffice and incoming US Mail and parcels into proper mail bins before delivery - Filling internal and external customer request for various company related literature - Preparing and affixing proper postage to outgoing US Mail - Referencing various online databases and websites, to verify employee names and locations, research US Postal Service, processing UPS shipments, mail merge, and other service information - Preparing daily and end of day reports - Maintaining mail equipment (meter, strap machine, and stringer) and work areas in a clean, safe and orderly condition - Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- High school diploma or GED required - Minimum 2 years work experience required with mail processing experience preferred - Valid Pennsylvania driver?s license and acceptable driving record is required - Must pass the Company?s EEI Support and Administrative Selection System (SASS) test - Must be able to physically perform tasks involving bending, stooping, lifting up to 75 pounds, carrying up to 50 pounds and walking and standing for extended periods of time - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), SAP knowledge is a plus - Ability to work safely - Ability to perform fairly heavy physical work
