ASSOCIATE CLIENT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (002Z8T)
LOCATION: LOUISVILLE, KY

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Client Development Manager will focus on the executing this sales role to the best of their ability in order to become a Client Development Manager. This position is designed to train and equip this individual to transition into a Client Development position on the sales team within a period of time. The ideal location would be for this individual to be based and work from our ESS home office in Louisville, KY.

The primary accountabilities, character traits, skills, and requirements are listed below.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Associate Client Development Manager, your chief responsibilities will be as follows:

LEAD GENERATION (30%)

* Identify, research and call new commercial sales leads across multiple market segments.
* Conduct research in CRM system, salesforce.com, to determine what activity is taking place with various accounts and coordinate follow-up activities with members of the sales team.
* Making first call(s) to prospects and generating interest and follow-up actions for the sales team.
* Target: Identify a minimum of 5 new qualified leads / companies each month that are passed to CDM for follow-up.
* Target: Complete a minimum of 150 Activities (calls, emails, research) in salesforce.com each month.


INDUSTRY SEGMENT DEVELOPMENT AND STRATEGY (30%)

* Industry segments will be selected by National Team Sales Leader
* "Map" vertical by identifying sub-segments and target companies.
* Develop a strategy document and prospect target list for each selected vertical


KNOWLEDGE AND DEVELOPMENT (30%)

* Mastery of Resource Advisor online system
* Knowledge of the Energy Management Lifecycle (EML) and ability to present across all aspects of the EML.
* Awareness and knowledge for all services and understanding of the internal subject matter experts.
* Overall preparedness to move into a Client Development Manager role
* Measurement of progress will take place at least on a quarterly basis


SALES LEADER DISCRETIONARY (10%)

* Positive contribution to national sales team environment and culture
* Collaboration and Interaction with other sales teams and departments within Energy and Sustainability Services
* Positive attitude and willingness and eagerness to grow and contribute to overall teams success

Primary Location: !*! ESSENTIAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

* Previous sales experience in either the energy industry, service industry or selling to industrial and/or commercial clients, experience and knowledge from working within the energy industry is preferred.
* Demonstrate ability to perform essential sales activities:

* Cold Calls
* Lead generation
* Persistence in follow up of leads and movement of prospects through the sales cycle
* Interfacing and presenting to all management levels at Fortune 500 companies

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Computer literate in a Microsoft Office environment (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Bachelors degree required
