THE ROLE IN BRIEF:
Insert brief description hereThe Advisory Board Company s Planning 20/20 initiative is a comprehensive partnership solution for hospital and health system strategic planning functions. The Data Analyst is responsible for working with the Focused Experts team to execute against the Service Plans and Project requests defined by the Strategic Advisors and Navigators who are working most closely with the member. The Data Analyst will work to customize the technology toolset and to transform hospital data into easy-to-use dashboards, reports and ad-hoc analyses that either serve as standalone deliverables or integrate into a broader deliverable leverage the other expert capabilities on the team.
This opportunity is based in Washington D.C.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytics
- Analyze institutions operational, strategic planning, outreach, marketing, and financial performance
- Master the functionality of the Planning 20/20 technology software
- Support the Strategic Advisor and Navigator team by providing analytic support directly to members; support the Focused Expert team deliverables by providing custom analysis for specific Focused Expert projects

Member Management
- Train hospital end users on the Planning 20/20 technology and teach them to replicate analytics and create their own
- Maintain and share business and technical expertise with members and other staff
- At the direction of the Strategic Advisor and Navigator, facilitate members calls to walk through opportunity assessments and analysis

Project Management
- Identify potential issues that will impede success and recommend corrective action plans
- Set and execute against project milestones

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor s Degree
- Must possess at least two of the following:
Consulting experience
Client management experience
Project management experience
Experience working in the health care
Demonstrable analytical reasoning or quantitative analysis
- Willingness to travel 10%

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess analytical reasoning and solution-focused problem solving
- Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects and relationships
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience working with Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of software functionality, user navigation and reporting capabilities
- Attention to detail
