Nitto BioPharma, Inc., is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of novel RNA-based therapeutics for intractable diseases. Clinical assets include their first anti-liver fibrosis drug program (ND-L02-s0201), which is now in Phase 1b/2 trials in the US, Europe, and Japan. Nitto BioPharma is also advancing several programs for intractable diseases including Oncology and fibrosis. Along with the establishment of the new company in April 2016, in mid-2016 Nitto BioPharma moved into our new R&D facility on Science Center Drive in San Diego, California.
Nitto BioPharma, Inc., is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scientist to lead our in vitro drug discovery research team. The successful candidate will be a critical leader involved with in vitro studies designed to evaluate novel RNA drug candidates and treatment modalities.
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. degree in biomedical field or closely related field, with a minimum of 10 years relevant pharmaceutical or biotech experience, with an emphasis on target validation and cell based screening systems. The successful incumbent will direct the in vitro team to drive target validation and mechanism of action studies, siRNA lead-screening and other required in vitro studies to support drug discovery efforts. Successful applicant will also have expertise working with CROs to perform and direct studies.
In addition to leading the in vitro efforts, the role will also require candidate to lead drug discovery programs. At a minimum, candidate should have previously led teams from the stage of target validation through identification of lead candidate. Successful applicant will be experienced in working with multiple disciplines including pharmacology, ADME, chemistry, analytical and process development.
The level and title will be commensurate with the incumbents experience and work history.
